World News – In ‘highly unusual’ move, Marines asked to disarm before Leon Panetta speech.

This is probably a smart move by Leon Panetta.  I assume this was adopted out of fear that individual Marines might seize the same authority for themselves that he and the President have seized.  The authority to kill whoever they deem is a threat with a secretive (read:  non-existent) process.
